To our knowledge this is the first Canadian educators’ conference for school educators interested in the cutting edge of bioscience!
Bioscience, grounded in life science and biotechnology, is a rapidly changing area. Predictions are that the rate of change will only get faster.
The purpose of BioAware is to make educators more aware of the issues and changes, related to bioscience.
As the global competition heats up in this sector, so will the global competition for scientific and technological talent.
Our bioscience sector will be hard pressed to meet its human resource needs because of our relative small population and our aging demongraphic as well as the lack of interest in science and technology among many of young people.
BioAware is meant to get educators more excited about bioscience and to give them relevant and accurate information to share with their students.
